My Story: A survivor’s journey to helping women heal and thrive

I am a survivor, a fighter, and a testament to the transformative power of faith and resilience. Growing up as the middle child in a family of five, our life from the outside looked like a scene from a perfect sitcom. But behind closed doors, there was pain—unimaginable pain.

My father was a college-educated businessman and a pillar of the community—a coach, a track star, and a husband—but at home, he was a different man. He was an alcoholic, verbally and physically abusive to the women in our family. My first memory is of him breaking my mother’s nose and ribs when I was just five years old. I often felt it was my job to protect her, stepping in to break up fights in the middle of the night, even though I was still a child myself.

To survive, I adapted. I learned to hide my pain, adopting a boyish persona to gain my father’s favor. While my brothers were idolized, I was reminded that, as a girl, my role was to serve—to cook, clean, and stay quiet. School became my escape, but even there, I struggled. Diagnosed with ADD and a comprehension problem, I was told I’d never amount to much. My father’s words echoed in my ears: “You’ll end up a crash dummy or a ventriloquist puppet.”

By the time I was 19, I had faced more than many do in a lifetime. Years of molestation and rape. My mother’s deportation. Becoming a Young Mom and . Dropping out of high school. Trauma shaped my life, leaving me feeling broken, unloved, and unsure of who I truly was.

My Turning Point

There came a moment when I was simply tired of being tired. My life hadn’t improved; I was surviving, not living. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Thyroid Disease and a Triple Skin Disease, which took a toll on my health and self-esteem. I became overweight, emotionally drained, and caught in another failed relationship. Alone in America, I reached my breaking point.

That’s when I turned to my faith. I embarked on a 90-day fast, giving up everything except fruits, vegetables, and the Word of God. I cut out TV, secular music, and distractions, choosing instead to isolate and grow closer to Him.

During that time, God planted a vision in my heart:
“To reach and teach women, while at the same time, a work and healing will be done in you, and the lives of your daughters will be touched.”

It was a calling I never expected, a vision that required me to face my wounds and transform my pain into purpose.

Transformation Through Faith

Healing wasn’t an overnight process. It began with a decision: to change, to heal, and to believe that a better life was possible. My faith became my foundation. Scriptures like Jeremiah 29:11 reminded me that God had a plan for me—a plan for hope and a future. I came to understand that I wasn’t meant to carry the weight of the world alone. I could take off the cape and surrender to God’s love.

This journey led me to embrace my calling to help others walk their path of healing and transformation. Today, I combine my personal experiences with professional credentials to provide compassionate and trauma-informed support for those seeking a life of purpose and resilience.

I hold:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, equipping me with strategic leadership and organizational skills to support growth and transformation.

  • Certification as an ICF Trauma-Informed Life Coach, enabling me to guide clients through emotional healing with empathy and intention.

  • Two procurement certifications, highlighting my dedication to structure, resourcefulness, and excellence in execution.

  • Currently pursuing a Dual Master’s Degree in Divinity and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, to deepen my understanding of spiritual and emotional wellness and better serve those I support.

Through these experiences, I’ve come to understand that life is not meant to be merely survived but fully lived. Immersing myself in self-help books, creating vision boards, and serving in my church helped me rebuild. I realized that love isn’t something we earn; it’s something we’re called to embody.

Resilience became my mantra because, through Christ, I learned that every battle is already won. My mission now is to empower others to find their strength, discover their purpose, and step into the abundant life God has designed for them.

If you’re ready to take that first step toward transformation, I am here to walk alongside you, combining faith, proven strategies, and heartfelt guidance to help you achieve the healing and freedom you deserve.

Let’s begin this journey together.

The Calling

As I healed, my purpose became clear: to help other women who feel trapped in cycles of trauma and pain. I knew what it was like to hate the reflection of womanhood due to years of abuse. I understood the anger and hopelessness that can come from deep wounds.

But I also knew the freedom and joy that came with healing. I felt called to create a space where women could rediscover their strength, embrace their God-given identity, and reclaim their lives. I wanted to provide the trauma-informed, faith-based guidance I wish I’d had during my darkest moments.

My Mission

Today, I empower women—especially those recovering from trauma—to break free, heal, and thrive. Through one-on-one coaching, group sessions, workshops, and events rooted in biblical principles, I walk alongside women as they rediscover their purpose and step into the abundant life God has for them.
